What do business majors do at Williams?
You will apply basic financial concepts and accounting principles to include but not
limited to: evaluation and implementation of investment and financing opportunities,
compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts;
document business transactions; evaluate debt offerings and equity issuances; analyze
and make recommendations regarding the accounting for various unique transactions;
collect and summarize financial information for the preparation of federal, state,
and local reports and tax returns. Some of your activities will include research,
analysis, summarizing and presenting results, and making recommendations to management.
What do engineering majors do at Williams?
Openings for entry-level engineers offer a wide variety of opportunities. Chemical,
Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineers may find themselves performing the following
jobs:
Field Operations:
Provide pipeline and compressor engineering support including controls and safety
systems, pipeline repairs, foreign line crossings, right of way maintenance and
encroachments. Provide operational and technical support for projects generated
through Technical Services.
Operations Support:
Support automation and safety systems for compressor stations including PLC based
systems. Test and optimize natural gas fired engines to meet emissions and
efficiency requirements. Assist compressor stations in determining the mechanical
health of engines. Provide engineering support for Williams’ gas measurement
equipment.
Technical Services:
(Project Management, Engineering Design, Construction Compliance, etc.)
Design, estimate, construct and commission new facilities including compressor
stations, gas metering stations, pipeline expansion projects and gas processing
facilities. Write specifications, procure materials and oversee contractor work.
Develop project schedules & deadlines, and track expenditures.
Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineers may find themselves performing the
following jobs:
Support Production and Operation's efforts to optimize and efficiently
recover producing and non-producing reserves within a safe operating.
Set up operating procedures and parameters and continuously coordinate efforts to increase efficiencies and reduce operating costs for producing properties.
Assist with O&M projects and maintenance work by providing technical input.
Acquire up-to-date operating data and confirm production capabilities.
Support optimization, cost reduction, and troubleshooting efforts.
Responsible for planning and execution of small locally managed maintenance projects.
Assure projects are completed on time and under budget.
What do technicians do?
You will maintain and operate all compressor station equipment and facilities
including engine driven reciprocating natural gas compressors and their ancillary
equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, filters, instrumentation and controls, etc.),
piping, boilers, valves, storage tanks, reciprocating air compressors, auxiliary
generator, dehydration, heaters, etc. Maintain and/or operate all pipeline facilities
including valves, piping, right-of-way, and inspection of third party activities,
meter stations and regulator stations. Shift work may be required based on location.
