Flying Saucer: First OVM Clay Shoot Benefits United Way

Mike and Tim, of Clay Shoot sponsor Chapman Corp., with Kelley of Williams, ready for the competition.

Have you ever shot a moving piece of baked clay?

That’s exactly what our employees, contractors, sponsors and attendees did at the first Williams Ohio Valley Midstream Clay Shoot.

The goal was to raise funds for the United Way of Upper Ohio Valley and to have some fun in the meantime.

We raised more than $70,000 to support local United Way agencies that serve the communities where we live and work.

And, we tried to get as many on-target shots as possible of these saucer-shaped pieces of baked clay as they flew across the sky and awarded prizes to the top scorers at the event.

Congratulations to the Encompass team for winning first place and to the Buckeye Mechanical team for their second-place award. Special thanks to our sponsors, employees and contractors, for making this event a success.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.
