Williams awards second round of grants to support needs related to COVID-19

Organizations in eight states recently were awarded grants from Williams to support remote learning, workforce training and other community needs during COVID-19.

The 27 new grants are part of $1 million in additional community support that Williams pledged earlier this year to address economic, education and public health concerns. A first round of grants was given in June.

“Six months into this crisis, many communities and families are struggling with unemployment, educational needs and health concerns,” said Sara Delgado, director of brand and corporate social responsibility. “Nonprofit professionals, school administrators and teachers, healthcare experts and first responders are the real heroes. We’re proud that these grants help continue their important work.”

Additional grants are still being considered this year. The Williams Foundation has established an intake form for grant requests on its website and encourages 501(c)3 organizations, first responders and K-12 schools to apply online. Grant requests will be reviewed and funded based on need and impact within the communities that Williams operates.
