Hiring in PA: How We’re Working with Penn State

Staff Reports

Williams’ College Relations team is actively recruiting at Penn State for internships and full-time jobs. Ryan Savage, who’s a general manager for our gathering and processing business in Pennsylvania, explains why:

“We have committed to building and operating more than $2 billion in new infrastructure over the next 20 years and beyond,” Ryan says.

“Our Transco pipeline also is seeing significant growth with its Leidy Line and proposed Atlantic Access project.

“Add this all up and we have a very serious need for talented employees now and for the long term.”

Enter Penn State, which boasts a total statewide enrollment of nearly 96,000 students at its various campuses.

“From a business perspective, we think building our relationship with the commonwealth’s flagship university can and will help us meet our business needs in a great way,” Ryan says.

“We’re intentionally looking at homegrown talent for the opportunities we have before us.”

That commitment for Williams includes:

  • being on campus for Penn State’s Career Fair
  • reaching out to Penn State’s career services, student organizations, faculty and staff
  • involvement with the Penn State Alumni Association and the student group, the Lion Ambassadors.

If you know students at Penn State who want to pursue a career in energy, encourage them to submit a resume for Williams through the university’s career services department.

We’ll be posting job openings at Penn State as they become available.
