Mike has been meeting with community organizations in the Rockaway area delivering grants from Williams’ grants program. Check out Mike’s report from last week’s meetings.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting with Krzysztof Sadlej. Krzysztof is a very active individual assisting the Rockaway Beach area around Beach 116 Street to bring the businesses back and help beautify the area.

The grant he received today will go toward installing benches on the commercial sidewalks along Beach 1166, which currently lacks pedestrian infrastructure that serves the community and shoppers.

The benches will be installed with collaboration from the New York City Department of Transportation CityBench Program.
