Welcome to our College Recruiting Roundtable. Even though we are Bedlam rivals, we have a great college recruiting team at Williams, and we love helping students be successful. Check in with us here each month from now through the fall, as we talk about the ins and outs of the college recruiting process and what you can do to be best prepared to secure a great summer internship or full-time position.
It’s a new year and we are heading back to campus this month to meet with students and partner with student organizations to share information about Williams and have some engineering fun! We have lots of events planned to support Engineering Week (also known as E-Week) across our various campuses. Our Campus Ambassadors will be hosting E-Week events at Oklahoma State University, Penn State University, The University of Tulsa, The University of Oklahoma, and West Virginia University. If you are on any of these campuses during E-Week, please come say hi! A few of the events we are sponsoring include a wing eating contest (who doesn’t like chicken wings?), casino night, fluid dynamics lab, and a can crush competition.
For the second year, we are hosting the Engineering Leadership Summit at West Virginia University. This event educates engineering students on preparing for the career fair, the interview, and what to expect with their first job. It also allows students to strengthen their soft skills and network with some of our employees. Employees is one of our Core Values & Beliefs, and Williams is passionate about developing its employees as well as in aiding in the development of students.
We look forward to seeing everyone on campus this semester! Be on the lookout for our next blog where we will share about our internship program.
