Meet Greg, Manager Operations Sr. Greg has worked for Williams since 1980, starting out working on our Transco Pipeline as a technician. He currently is a manager in our Atlantic Gulf operating area and has an open operations technician lead position in Washington, Louisiana.

I enjoy many aspects of my job, including the people I meet and interact with and the various projects I work on. However, my favorite part of my job would be problem solving. I have always enjoyed being confronted with a problem and working out the best answer. I have a challenging and rewarding job and every day pulls on my experience gained over the last 35 years, as well as requiring me to learn new areas and skills.

Many years ago, I was given a great opportunity that has allowed me to take care of my family. Every day I do my best to give back to the best of my ability and I never lose sight of this.

Station 54, located in Washington, Louisiana, is one of just a few storage fields within Williams. This station has a wider variation of areas to work and gain experience from than most compressor stations: including high pressure two-stage compression, dehydration, storage field well work, liquid separation and pipeline right of way. You get lots of great experience in many different areas.

A successful candidate for my open position needs to be a highly motivated self-driven person with a solid foundation in mechanics. He or she should be a leader in safety, have a detailed eye in documentation, enjoy teaching co-workers and have a background in project management.
