Early Career

#MoreThanAnInternship

Staff Reports

UntitledHello, my name is Kelsey, and I am going to be a senior at the University of Tulsa. My major is chemical engineering, and this summer I got placed with the Plant Engineering group in the Pittsburgh office.

I am originally from the Midwest, so moving out to Pittsburgh for the summer was definitely a bit of a change; I have to admit, I was more than a little intimidated by what lay ahead. My excitement to work for a company like Williams, paired with the promising future of the Northeast for the energy industry (and hopefully, my promising future), got me in the car and headed east.

Williams did not disappoint. Flying back west to Tulsa for orientation proved to me that I had made a good decision. Intern Institute provided information sessions, leadership trainings, words of wisdom, and intern bonding activities. After hearing from executives, the recruiting team, and other company leaders over the course of three days, as well as meeting the 78 other interns who were ready to start this opportunity, I realized how much I had learned and how ready I was to start what promised to be more than an internship.

Over the course of the summer, I hope to share some of my experiences that go to show that the Williams Way is truly one of a kind – something that did not take me long to discover!
