Williams celebrated another successful year for the Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce by sponsoring the Celebration Dinner.

Our stomachs were full and our hearts were happy after attending the Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce annual Celebration Dinner last week.

We had so many reasons to celebrate – including another successful year for the Chamber – and what better way than by tasting foods from a variety of restaurants and cuisines. Six restaurants competed in a Top Chef-style contest (the famous reality TV show).

Attendees tried samples including chocolate covered strawberries, classic Mexican food, chili lasagna, tomato bisque and even a dessert burger! (Trust us on this one – that burger was wonderful).

Also as part of the program, West Virginia Secretary of Commerce Keith Burdette spoke about the economic opportunities ahead for the state, and highlighted opportunities provided by natural gas development.

By the way – Top Chef winner was Shooters Saloon. Other contestants included La Pasta Bella, The Orchard Bed & Breakfast, Azteca Mexican Restaurant, Rose Marie’s Café and Marv’s Place restaurant.

Do you have a favorite? We invite you to visit these local restaurants and share your favorite with us on Facebook.

Thank you to the Chamber for having us at this great event.
