2015 Corp Challenge winners presentation

Chris Chris Lieberman, Williams Route 66 Marathon executive director, presented the Williams team with the Corporate Challenge cup last week.

In our headquarters city of Tulsa, one of the community’s largest and most visible annual community events is the Williams Route 66 Marathon. And a fun part of the marathon is the Corporate Challenge, where Tulsa area companies and organizations are pitted against each other for annual bragging rights.

The competition is judged by number of employees participating, how they place in the races and how much is raised for local charities. In the marathon just held in November, more than 1,000 area employees participated in the Corporate Challenge and for the third year in a row, Williams employees — this year numbering 104 — pulled down top honors. As in all places where we do business, Williams is thrilled to support the community and give back to local nonprofits.

By the way, November’s marathon drew 16,000 participants from every state and 12 foreign countries, resulting in an impact of $8 million to the local economy. The 2016 Williams Route 66 Marathon, Nov. 19-20, will be our 10th as title sponsor.
