Opening the door to the international market

Staff Reports

For the first time, the continental U.S. is about to become an exporter of liquefied natural gas. And Williams Partners is playing a critical role in opening the door to this international market for America’s abundant natural gas.

Texas-based Cheniere Energy Inc. is due to make its first international shipment of LNG in late February or March from its Sabine Pass LNG export terminal in Cameron Parish, La.  Williams Partners is building the Gulf Trace project to serve this export facility.

We also just executed long-term contracts with two shippers for our Gulf Connector project to serve two other liquefaction facilities currently under construction.

“Gulf Connector is another great example of Williams Partners leveraging our existing infrastructure to serve new and growing market opportunities for North America’s natural gas,” said Rory Miller, senior vice president of Williams Partners’ Atlantic-Gulf operating area.
