This is our ninth year to serve as the title sponsor for the Williams Route 66 Marathon in our hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

However, marathons are not just about the runners.

Staging such a large event – one that draws 12,000+ participants and visitors from every state and 10 different countries – is a huge undertaking and requires countless volunteers to make it all happen.

You will find Williams employees volunteering as race starters, coordinators and as water-stop ambassadors at the Williams Gatorade® Block Party. This strategically placed water-stop provides much-needed hydration and up-beat music to recharge the runners for the rest of the race. Williams employee, Carmela Hill, along with her band provide the music, while another employee, Danielle Rogers, leads the veteran team of volunteers.

Volunteers are still needed, so sign-up and join the fun Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 18 and 19. Registration for runners and walkers also is still open
