By the time Winter StormāÆFern tightened its grip, Williams teams were already in motion.
Days before the first flakes fell and ice coated roadways, operators were reviewing forecasts, checking equipment and coordinating across regions. Compressor stations were staffed. Control rooms were fully manned. Backup systems were tested.
So when the cold arrived in force, there was no scramble. Natural gas continued to move safely through Williamsā pipeline network, delivering energy to homes, hospitals and local power plants. While the storm pushed systems across the country to their limits, preparation made the difference in keeping our infrastructure running.
At Williams, reliability isnāt a reaction to severe weather. Itās the result of planning for it every winter, every year.
In the week following Fernās arrival, Williams is operating without issues, thanks to proactive steps to protect our infrastructure. Weāre continuing to monitor system performance and are ready to respond quickly to any potential issues.
