Singing in the New Year

Williams is proud to be a sponsor of the 2016 Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’ First Night, Pittsburgh’s arts-focused New Year’s Eve celebration.

“The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is delighted to have local support for this treasured regional event that positively contributes to the quality of life of Pittsburgh residents and visitors to the region,” shared Kimberly Mauersberg, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Director of Institutional Giving. “We are proud and appreciative of the support of Williams which will enhance the annual event in several significant ways.”

The Williams SING-OFF is a vocal competition for students from grades 6 through 12 throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. Legendary singer/songwriter Smokey Robinson  selected the winning voices from the 40+ submissions of the Williams SING-OFF CompetitionThe winners will perform live as opening act at the Benedum Center on New Year’s Eve. The winner will also receive a cash prize of $500 and their school will receive donation of $1000 designated to the music department.
